Improving quality in health care demands not only careful strategy but skill in creating an environment where positive change is possible.  And lasting change is the result of systemic collaboration across the organization among teams of leaders who find ways to work together. A single change agent can’t do it alone.

The HRET Fellowship program is a yearlong intensive learning experience that develops leadership competencies and advances quality improvement science in health care through a dynamic, highly participatory, and structured learning community.  Fellows are exposed to a broad array of tools, strategies, and methodologies in the field of patient safety.

The Fellowship brings participants together through:

  • Executive Leadership Retreats—Three weeklong gatherings during the course of the program.
  • Virtual Learning Community—Year-round communication with other fellows and expert faculty.
  • Peer affinity groups and project consultations

Fellows can also tap into a rich learning network, take advantage of peer consulting, and participate in six self-study modules.  Each self-study module is followed by a faculty-facilitated online discussion.
